Guru Nima – Founder & Head of Farm Operations

Guru Nima planted the farm’s first apple trees in 1984 with his own hands. Decades later, his principles still guide everything we do on the orchard—from how we care for the soil to how we pack each box. He continues to lead the orchard with quiet strength, ensuring every harvest reflects the love and labor he has poured into this land.

Virender Raj – Co‑Founder, Strategy & Outreach

Raised among apple orchards in Kinnaur, Virender saw his parents’ hard work undervalued by middlemen. After a degree and corporate stint, he returned home in 2020 to change that—bringing his family’s premium Kinnaur apples directly to homes that truly appreciate them.

Our Journey

From hand-planted trees in the tribal hills of Kinnaur to delivering apples across India, our journey is built on tradition, resilience, and vision.

1984 — Where It All Began

Our roots go back to 1984, when Guru Nima, our founder, planted the first apple trees on the family’s ancestral land in Kinnaur—a remote tribal region known for its clean air, mineral-rich soil, and age-old farming wisdom. He nurtured the orchard by hand, using only traditional methods with no machines or modern shortcuts. For Guru Nima, it wasn’t just farming—it was a way of life fueled by patience and a deep respect for nature.

1997 — First Fruits, First Markets

In 1997, after 13 years of dedication, our orchard yielded its first substantial harvest. Guru Nima personally handpicked the apples and carried a small batch to sell at Chandigarh’s Sector 26 Mandi and Delhi’s Azadpur Mandi. The response was modest but encouraging. It marked the start of our family’s relationship with regional markets and introduced Kinnaur’s premium apples to people beyond our valley.

Those were times of limited access and tough roads. To sell even a few boxes meant days of travel—waking at dawn and standing in crowded market yards—where the true value of our apples was often lost to middlemen.

2020 — A New Chapter Begins

The turning point came in 2020, during the COVID-19 lockdown. Virender returned to the farm with a mission: to change how our apples reach people. We set up an online presence, shared our story, and began accepting direct pre-orders from customers across India.

Back then, with no direct shipping access, we personally drove our packed boxes to courier hubs in Shimla, Solan, and Chandigarh. It was exhausting but rewarding. People loved the quality, the story, and the taste of what we delivered, and slowly their trust grew.

Today, the process has evolved. Shipping partners now collect orders directly from our farm, allowing us to focus more on cultivation and quality—while ensuring that every box still carries the same honesty, heritage, and care as always.

Still Growing

This journey is far from over. From our orchard in the tribal hills of Kinnaur to your doorstep, we continue to honor our roots while growing with the times. Every apple we send out is more than just fruit—it’s a piece of our family’s legacy nurtured over generations and shared with love.
